About Me
Hello! I’m Kavina Hall-McLeod, though you’re welcome to call me Kavina or Ms. K. I’m a Licensed Psychotherapist dedicated to helping children and families navigate complex emotions, strengthen relationships, and move through life’s most challenging moments with confidence and clarity. I recognize that each individual and family system is unique, and I draw from a curated blend of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support meaningful and lasting growth.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Oregon and a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California, where I was honored with the Order of Arete—USC’s highest award for graduate students who demonstrate exceptional leadership and impactful service to the university and the broader community.
Over the past 15 years, I have worked across diverse clinical settings and contributed to research at several of the world’s leading institutions, including UC Berkeley and Stanford. These experiences have enriched my clinical perspective and allow me to provide high-level, nuanced care to the clients I serve.
Beyond my professional training, I’m a wife, mother of three (including an amazing child with autism and ADHD), daughter, sister, and former scholarship collegiate athlete. These roles bring a grounded, real-life understanding of resilience, balance, and the many layers that shape family life.
I am committed to guiding children, teens, adults, families, and groups toward clarity, connection, and emotional well-being. My approach is intentional and collaborative, centered on creating a supportive space where real transformation can take place. Together, we will work toward meaningful and sustainable progress, one session at a time.
