Kavina McLeod is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Oregon and a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California. Her work experience spans entry-level roles to managerial positions. For well over a decade, Kavina has provided clinical and therapeutic services in various settings, including hospitals, psychiatric facilities, state institutions, county jails, and residential homes. Noteworthy are her contributions to research efforts focused on identifying effective psychological treatments at some of the world’s leading research and teaching institutions such as the University of California, Berkeley and Stanford University.
Beyond clinical work, Kavina is recognized for her dynamic speaking prowess, captivating audiences with her insight into a variety of mental health topics. Kavina’s personal experiences as a wife, mother of three (including a child with autism and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder), daughter, sister, and former athlete add a relatable dimension to her professional work. Whether addressing audiences at a conference, church, staff training, or community health event, Kavina delivers impactful presentations that resonate with diverse audiences.
